How can I be ready for Christ's return?

Answered in 1 source

Being ready for Christ's return means being in Christ, relying on His righteousness.

In Matthew 24:44, Jesus instructs that we must 'be ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.' Readiness for His return is not about self-preparation through good deeds alone but profoundly about being hidden in Christ. Just as in the Old Testament figures where salvation was contingent upon God's provision (like the blood on doorposts), true readiness today comes from faith in Christ and His finished work. Our readiness is secured through His righteousness, which covers all our failings, ensuring that when He comes, we stand unashamed before Him.
