How can I be sure I am in the faith?

Answered in 1 source

You can be sure you are in the faith by examining your trust in Christ alone for salvation.

To determine if you are in the faith, reflect on where your trust lies for salvation. Paul encourages self-examination to discover whether you are relying on your own works or fully trusting in Christ's finished work on the cross. A true faith acknowledges personal sinfulness and recognizes that salvation is a result of grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9), not through any merit of our own. Assurance comes from a heart that clings to Christ and acknowledges Him as the source of all righteousness and justification before God.
