How can I be sure I am one of the elect?

Answered in 1 source

To be assured of election, one must come to Christ in faith as a sinner seeking mercy.

The doctrine of election is vital, affirming that God chose certain individuals for salvation before time. However, the assurance of being elect does not preclude anyone from coming to Christ. In John 6:37, Jesus states, 'Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out,' emphasizing that the call to come is extended to all sinners. Rather than speculating on one's election, individuals are urged to respond to God’s call by repenting and believing in Jesus, who saves all who approach Him in faith, ensuring their place in the elect.
