How can I be sure that I know God?

Answered in 1 source

You can be sure you know God by recognizing your dependence on His grace and pursuing Him through His Word.

Assurance of knowing God comes from acknowledging our complete reliance on His grace for revelation. Proverbs 30 reminds us that without divine initiative, we have no capability to comprehend the holy. Thus, if we find ourselves seeking after God through the proclamation of His Word and recognizing that our understanding is limited, we can be assured that our pursuit is genuine. Moreover, as seen in Jeremiah 31:34, God promises that those He saves will know Him directly. Therefore, our humble pursuit of Him and dependence on His grace serve as evidence of our relationship with God.
