How can I have assurance of my salvation?

Answered in 2 sources

Assurance of salvation comes by trusting Christ's promises and recognizing our identity in Him, not through our own works.

Assurance of salvation is derived from understanding and believing the gospel. It is essential to recognize that salvation was achieved through Christ's work, as stated in 2 Timothy 1:9, emphasizing God's purpose and grace given before time. Just as the nobleman believed Jesus' word without seeing his son's healing immediately, we can rest assured in our own faith. Assurance does not stem from an emotional experience but from a steadfast belief in Christ's righteousness and the finished work of the cross. Recognizing this allows believers to stand firm in their salvation.
