How can I have assurance of my saving faith?

Answered in 1 source

Assurance of saving faith comes from resting in Christ and the promises of God, not from our performance.

Assurance in one's saving faith is grounded not in personal achievements but rather in the faithfulness of God and His promises as found in Scriptures. According to Ephesians 2:8-9, we are saved by grace through faith, which is a gift from God—this removes any basis for boasting in our works. Realizing that our faith, if it is saving faith, recognizes its origin in God helps us understand there is no room for skepticism. When we look to God's promises, particularly when He assures us in Romans 8:28-30 about His unbreakable plans for our salvation, we find the foundation for our confidence and assurance.
