How can I know if I have hope?

Knowing you have hope in Christ comes through the proclamation and acceptance of the Gospel message. Colossians 1:5 points out that this hope is associated with understanding the truth of the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). When the Gospel is preached, and you respond with belief, it is evidence of the hope laid up for you in heaven. This faith is not of yourselves but is a gift from God.
