How can I love mercy as God requires?

Answered in 1 source

Loving mercy involves both receiving God's mercy and actively showing it to others.

To love mercy, as required by God, means to first understand and appreciate the mercy we have received from Him. When we realize that we do not merit God's favor but are instead recipients of His unearned compassion, we develop a deep appreciation for that mercy. This understanding transforms us, leading us to show mercy to others. It is a reflection of our own experience of grace, compelling us to be merciful and kind, embodying the character of Christ in our relationships with others.
