How can I overcome anxiety according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible encourages believers to cast all their anxieties on God, for He cares for them, as highlighted in Philippians 4:6-7.

To overcome anxiety, the Bible instructs believers to turn their worries into prayers. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us not to be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, present our requests to God. When we do this, the peace of God—beyond human understanding—will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. It's paramount to recognize that anxiety can often stem from focusing excessively on the past or future rather than trusting God in the present. By turning to Him and seeking His will in the current moment, believers can experience a profound sense of peace and assurance that God is in control.
