How can I personally draw near to God?

Answered in 1 source

To draw near to God, one must recognize their position in Christ and approach Him in faith (James 4:8).

Drawing near to God is rooted in understanding that, as believers, we are already positionally close to Him through our union with Christ. James 4:8 encourages us to 'draw nigh to God,' which involves both a recognition of our privileged status and an active pursuit of relationship with Him through prayer, worship, and thanksgiving. This intimacy is nourished by faith and the consistent acknowledgment of Christ's saving work. Furthermore, as we approach God with open hearts and sincere faith, we experience His nearness in our lives, realizing that barriers of sin have already been removed through Christ. It is a spiritual journey of faith that deepens over time.
