How can I prepare to seek God's help?

Answered in 1 source

To prepare for seeking God's help, one should establish a habit of prayer and introspection to recognize their dependence on Him.

Preparing to seek God’s help begins with cultivating a prayerful and humble heart. Establishing a routine of prayer allows us to communicate openly with God, presenting our needs and acknowledging our utter dependence on Him. In times of calm, it’s beneficial to reflect on past instances where God provided help, thereby reinforcing our faith in His future assistance. By developing a habit of reliance on God before crises arise, we become spiritually equipped to cry out for His help when challenges come. The simplicity and sincerity of our pleas, much like David’s, prepare ourselves to receive God's grace in our time of need.
