How can one be reconciled to God according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

One can be reconciled to God by acknowledging their sin and placing faith in Jesus Christ, who became sin for us.

The biblical process of reconciliation involves recognizing our sinfulness and our need for a Savior. 2 Corinthians 5:21 states, 'For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.' This highlights that Jesus Christ took upon Himself our sins and their deserved penalty. By repenting and putting our faith in His finished work, we can be made right with God, receiving new life and righteousness through Him.
