How can one be sure they are accepted by God?

Answered in 1 source

Acceptance by God comes through faith in Jesus Christ and His redemptive work.

Believers can find assurance of acceptance with God as they place their faith in Jesus Christ. The scripture teaches that all who come to Him will not be cast out (John 6:37). This acceptance is grounded in the finished work of Christ on the cross, where He paid for all sins—past, present, and future. In Isaiah 55, God encourages the thirsty to seek Him while He may be found, affirming that this grace covers all who authentically believe. Therefore, the promise of acceptance is not based on individual performance but on faith in His sufficient sacrifice, a core tenet of sovereign grace theology.
