How can one come to Christ for rest?

Answered in 1 source

Coming to Christ for rest involves faith, recognizing our need and being convinced of His promises.

To come to Christ for rest, we must approach Him in faith as needy sinners. This faith is defined in Hebrews 11:1 as the assurance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen. It is through this faith that we believe Christ's promises — that He will give us rest from our burdens. The sermon highlights that true coming to Christ means acknowledging our inability to meet God’s standards and recognizing that we rely solely on His grace. We come not boastfully but in true humility, trusting that His sacrifice on the cross has satisfied the penalty for our sins. As we come to Him continually, we are assured of His love and acceptance.
