How can one come to Jesus for help?

Answered in 1 source

Coming to Jesus for help requires humility and faith, acknowledging our need for His mercy.

In the example of Jairus, we see that he approached Jesus in humility, recognizing his power to heal his dying daughter. This is the posture every sinner must take—humbly seeking mercy and grace. Much like the tyrranical king's guest who dined unaware of the sword of death above him, many are oblivious to their dire spiritual state. We must be aware of our guilt before God and come, as Jairus did, falling at Jesus' feet in desperation, seeking His compassion and healing.
