How can our hearts be healed according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Our hearts can be healed by calling upon the Lord for salvation (Jeremiah 17:14).

Jeremiah 17:14 contains the cry for divine healing: 'Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for thou art my praise.' This plea emphasizes that true healing and salvation come from God alone. In our natural state, our hearts are corrupt and unable to achieve righteousness on their own. However, when we turn to God in faith and confess our inability, He is faithful to heal and restore us through Christ's atoning sacrifice. This reflects the essential Reformed belief in total depravity and the necessity of divine grace to effect change in our hearts.
