How can Scripture give us patience?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture fosters patience by teaching us to trust God's providence and timing in trials.

Patience is cultivated through the study and application of Scripture. Romans 15:4 indicates that the teachings found in Scripture provide comfort and patience as believers endure trials. Godly patience is about willingly submitting to God's will while waiting for His divine timing. Through reading and meditating on Scripture, Christians learn of God's faithfulness in past generations and how He has worked through their difficulties. The experience gained from reliance on God's promises strengthens our faith, enabling us to exercise patience as we face our own challenges. This patience is rooted in the understanding that God is in control, working all things to fulfill His good purposes.
