How can someone be saved if it seems impossible?

With God, all things are possible, including the salvation of those who believe.

The Lord Jesus teaches in Matthew 19:26 that with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. This assures us that human effort alone cannot secure our salvation, especially when it comes to entering the Kingdom of Heaven. Ultimately, salvation is a work of God’s grace whereby He humbles us and leads us to recognize our need for Jesus. Faith is a gift from God, and once bestowed, it provides access to the eternal hope of salvation—one that we could never secure by ourselves.
