How can someone be saved without knowing about election?

Answered in 1 source

A person can be saved by Christ's grace and later come to understand the doctrine of election (Ephesians 1:4-5).

The experience of the thief on the cross exemplifies this aspect of salvation. He did not know about election or the deeper theological doctrines but recognized Jesus as Lord and sought His mercy (Luke 23:42). This illustrates that while understanding concepts like election is important, salvation itself is a work of God’s grace that does not depend on our comprehension of theological systems. Ultimately, election is a truth that becomes clearer through the revealing of Christ, and true faith in Him assures us of salvation.
