How can someone be turned to follow Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Turning to follow Christ requires a divine work of grace in the heart of the individual.

The Bible presents a clear truth: by nature, we are like Hobab, unwilling to embark on the journey toward God. As observed in Acts 2, when Peter preached the gospel, those who were pricked in their heart responded to his call to repent. This turning or repentance is initiated by God’s grace, as He draws individuals to Himself. It is essential because, without divine intervention, no one would choose to follow Christ on their own. Simply put, when God speaks authoritatively into a person's heart, their eyes are opened to the beauty of Christ and the goodness that comes from joining His people on the journey.
