How can we acquire wisdom from God?

Answered in 1 source

Wisdom can be acquired from God by asking Him in prayer, trusting that He gives generously to those who seek it.

James 1:5 commands, 'If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.' This verse emphasizes the necessity of seeking God's wisdom, particularly in times of trial. Approaching God with humility and acknowledging our need for His guidance is the beginning of wisdom. Recognizing that Christ is our ultimate wisdom, believers are encouraged to pray and seek understanding of His ways, which are often higher than our own. By placing our trust in God's unchanging nature and His promises, we can expect that He will respond to our requests for wisdom without rebuke.
