How can we approach God according to the Bible?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that believers are commanded to come before God with thanksgiving and praise, made possible through Christ.

As described in Psalm 100, believers are called to come into God's presence with singing and thanksgiving. This access is fundamentally grounded in the redemptive work of Christ; through His sacrifice, the barrier separating God from humanity has been removed. Believers are united with Christ and thus have the privilege to approach God boldly (Hebrews 4:16). By coming to God, Christians are invited to lay their burdens at His feet, assured of His love and care, fundamentally transforming their relationship with Him from fear to joyful communion.
