How can we avoid distractions from God's word?

Answered in 1 source

We can avoid distractions by intentionally prioritizing time for prayer and seeking God through His Word.

Distractions are a common struggle for all believers, particularly in a world filled with constant demands for our attention. The example of Martha illustrates how easily we can become cumbered with service and lose sight of the essential nature of our relationship with Christ. To avoid these distractions, we must intentionally carve out time to study God's Word, pray, and engage in fellowship with other believers. It requires discipline to set aside earthly concerns and focus our hearts on what truly matters—drawing near to God and allowing His voice to guide our lives. In so doing, we remember the promise in James 4:8, 'Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.' This closeness to God cultivates a spiritual environment where we are less likely to be sidetracked by the worries of life.
