How can we be assured of our perseverance as Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Our perseverance is guaranteed by God's faithfulness and the effectual call of the Gospel.

The assurance of a believer's perseverance is rooted in the faithfulness of God. Philippians 1:6 affirms that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. This assurance is further solidified by the doctrine of election; believers are chosen by God and His calling is effectual, ensuring that none of His elect will be lost. Jesus Himself declared in John 10:28 that His sheep will never perish, and that no one will snatch them out of His hand. Therefore, believers can have confidence in their perseverance, not based on their own strength or merit, but solely on God's sovereign grace and steadfast promises.
