How can we be certain of our salvation in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Our assurance of salvation is rooted in God's promises and Christ’s completed work on the cross.

The assurance of salvation comes from understanding that it is not based on our works but on the faithfulness of God and the sufficiency of Christ’s sacrifice. In Romans 5:1, Paul declares that being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. This peace assures believers that their sins are forgiven and that they are in a right relationship with God. Furthermore, the continual work of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life through sanctification solidifies this assurance, making it clear that God completes what He has begun in us.
