How can we be confident in our relationship with God?

Answered in 1 source

Confidence in our relationship with God comes from the Holy Spirit's assurance and our faith in Christ alone.

Our confidence in our relationship with God does not stem from our personal experiences or abilities but from the affirmation we receive from the Holy Spirit. He is the one who teaches us the truth about our sinfulness, Christ’s righteousness, and the complete atonement for sin. This inner assurance is what allows believers to declare, 'God is my Father,' and to rest in the fact that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Thus, we cultivate our confidence by continually looking to Christ, developing a trusting relationship where the Holy Spirit affirms and teaches us of the grace we have in Him.
