How can we be holy if we still sin?

Answered in 1 source

Our holiness is based in Christ and His righteousness, not our own perfection.

Despite continuing to wrestle with sin in our lives, our holiness is secured through faith in Christ and His completed work. 1 Peter 1:16 reinforces the call to holiness, which is not about achieving a perfect state but is rooted in the imputed righteousness of Christ. As believers, we are seen as holy because of our union with Christ, who bore our sins and grants us His righteousness. The struggle with sin highlights our need for God's grace, and it encourages us to rely on His strength to live out a life that glorifies Him.
