How can we be sure of irresistible grace?

Answered in 1 source

Irresistible grace is assured in Scripture, affirming that God’s saving call cannot be resisted by those He intends to save.

Irresistible grace suggests that when God calls His elect to salvation, they will inevitably come. This is evident in John 6:37, where Jesus states, 'All that the Father gives Me will come to Me.' When God acts to grant faith and regeneration, it transforms the heart such that the sinner willingly comes to Christ. This grace is not forced but is an overcoming of our natural resistance through the Holy Spirit’s work. As believers, we can trust that God’s call is effectual, ensuring that those who are chosen will respond in faith, recognizing God’s sovereignty in our salvation.
