How can we be sure that God will save those He loves?

Answered in 1 source

We can be sure of God’s salvation because He sovereignly chooses and effectively carries out His will to save His elect.

The assurance of God’s saving grace stems from His sovereign will to elect certain individuals for salvation, as seen in Ephesians 1:4-5. God’s love and election are not contingent upon human action but are part of His eternal purpose. According to 2 Corinthians 1:20, all of God's promises are confirmed in Christ, showcasing the certainty that those whom He loves will receive salvation. This eliminates any doubt about conditional salvation; instead, it emphasizes that God’s love leads to an irrevocable commitment to save those He has chosen, thus reinforcing the believer's confidence and providing a solid foundation for their faith.
