How can we be sure we are saved?

Answered in 3 sources

Assurance of salvation comes from our faith in Christ and the inward witness of the Holy Spirit confirming our status as His children.

The assurance of salvation is based on the promises found in Scripture, particularly in Romans 8:16, which states that the Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. If we have genuinely fallen on Christ, acknowledging Him as our Savior and Master, the resulting trust fosters a deep confidence in our salvation. This sincere faith often produces spiritual fruit and the experience of Christ's preciousness in our lives, allowing us to rest assured in our eternal security in Him. Additionally, the transformation we experience in our lives post-conversion is a reflection of His work within us, confirming that we have indeed been saved.
