How can we believe in Christ to be saved?

Answered in 1 source

We believe in Christ through the grace of God, who opens our hearts to the truth of the gospel.

Belief in Christ for salvation is fundamentally a work of God's grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 explains that we are saved by grace through faith, and this faith is not our own doing but a gift from God. This aligns with the Reformed understanding of divine sovereignty in salvation, where God initiates the pursuit of sinners, changing their hearts to respond to the gospel's call. As spiritual blindness and deafness characterize humanity, God must intervene to grant understanding and belief, leading to true repentance and faith in Christ.
