How can we distinguish between true and false believers?

Answered in 1 source

True believers are those who do the will of the Father, which is to believe in Jesus Christ.

True faith is marked by obedience to God's will, as articulated in Matthew 7:21. The genuine follower of Christ is not merely one who professes His name but actively comes to Him in faith, recognizing Him as the sole source of salvation. Jesus teaches that many will claim to know Him based on their outward activities, yet a true relationship involves a heart transformation and the acknowledgment of Christ's sovereign grace. This distinction underscores the vital importance of discerning authentic faith through the lens of scripture and a personal relationship with Christ.
