How can we enter the kingdom of heaven?

Answered in 2 sources

To enter the kingdom of heaven, one's righteousness must exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, which is fulfilled in Christ's righteousness.

Christ teaches that entry into the kingdom of heaven requires a righteousness that exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees (Matthew 5:20). This righteousness is not about human effort but is found solely in the perfect obedience of Jesus Christ, who fulfilled the law completely. As mentioned in Matthew 5:48, believers are called to be perfect, even as God is perfect. Since no one can achieve this perfection on their own, it is through faith in Christ and the imputation of his righteousness that one can secure their place in the kingdom of heaven.
