How can we find contentment according to Ecclesiastes?

Answered in 1 source

Contentment is found by seeking God and recognizing His sovereignty in every circumstance of life.

Ecclesiastes teaches that true contentment can only be achieved by shifting our focus from transient earthly experiences to God, who is eternal. Solomon illustrates how the natural man's pursuit of pleasure leads to emptiness, while the believer finds joy and satisfaction in seeking God’s glory and acknowledging His providence. Contentment stems from understanding that every aspect of life, including joys and tribulations, is facilitated through God’s sovereign plan. Therefore, through prayer and a growing relationship with Christ, believers can cultivate a spirit of contentment that results from trust and reliance on Him.
