How can we find hope in Christ amidst distress?

Answered in 1 source

We find hope in Christ amidst distress by trusting in His promises and the salvation He offers.

The psalmist's cry in distress reveals the believer's reliance on God amidst trials. Even when surrounded by lies and hostility, the believer can turn to God in faith, knowing that 'He heard me' (Psalm 120:1). In Christ, we find an everlasting hope as Romans 15:13 reminds us: 'May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.' The believer's assurance lies not in their circumstances but in Christ’s completed work and His presence, which strengthens us to face the struggles of this world.
