How can we find hope in times of suffering according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that our hope during suffering rests securely in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our refuge at all times.

David acknowledges his afflictions in Psalm 39 but ultimately places his hope in God, asking Him for deliverance and solace. In times of suffering, we are reminded that Christ is our hope both in life and in death. Hebrews 6:19 describes hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. By turning to God in prayer and seeking His will during trials, we affirm that our struggles serve a greater purpose and draw us closer to Him. This hope sustains us, reminding us of the eternal joy that awaits those who are in Christ.
