How can we find power over sin in our lives?

Power over sin comes not from our own strength but through the work of the Holy Spirit within us. As Paul writes in Romans, the law reveals our sin but cannot save us; it is through the Spirit that we are empowered to resist temptation. Psalm 51 reveals that David understood the need for a new heart and a right spirit. Believers are given this new nature through the work of Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit, allowing us to live in obedience and to see true victory over sin as we continuously look to Christ and His obedience as our source of strength.
