How can we grow in desiring God's presence?

Answered in 1 source

Desiring God's presence comes from His grace that moves our hearts to seek Him.

A true longing for the presence of God cannot originate from ourselves; rather, it is a work of His grace in our hearts. As the Psalmist expressed in Psalm 84:2, 'My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord,' this yearning is instilled by the Holy Spirit, guiding believers to seek communion with their Creator. Recognizing our inability to desire Him on our own ensures that any true desire arises from God's transformative grace.
