How can we grow in love according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

We grow in love by knowing Christ more deeply and by seeking to love others with the same love He shows us.

In Philippians 1, Paul encourages believers to pray that their love may abound more and more in knowledge and discernment. The growth in love is directly linked to a deeper understanding of Christ's love and grace. As Christians, we are called to love one another with the sacrificial love that Christ showed us, marked by selflessness and intentionality. This means not only nurturing affectionate feelings but also taking action, seeking the best for one another, and being willing to bear each other's burdens. It is through prayer and the study of God's Word that we learn how to love effectively, ensuring our love is aligned with God’s standards and truths.
