How can we handle opposition and fears in life?

Answered in 1 source

Believers can handle opposition and fears by trusting in Christ and remembering His promises.

Facing opposition and fear is an inevitable part of the Christian life, but Scripture provides guidance on how to navigate these challenges. Philippians 4:6-7 instructs believers not to be anxious but to present their requests to God in prayer, assuring them that God's peace will guard their hearts and minds. Moreover, as Jesus told His disciples amidst a storm, 'Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid' (Matthew 14:27). This invitation calls us to place our trust in Christ, recognizing that He is sovereign over every circumstance we face. Psalm 56:3 echoes this practice: 'What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.' Believing that God is in control, coupled with prayer and reliance on His Word, empowers Christians to overcome their fears and calmly face life's storms.
