How can we have assurance of our faith?

Answered in 2 sources

Assurance of faith comes from believing in Christ and His promises (Romans 10:9).

Assurance of faith is rooted in the credibility of Jesus Christ and the promises found in Scripture. Romans 10:9 teaches that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. This confession and belief encapsulate the essence of faith. Once a person genuinely believes in Christ, they can have assurance that their faith is genuine and that salvation is secured. Moreover, the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit confirms this assurance by prompting believers to trust in the sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice.
