How can we have assurance of our faith?

Answered in 1 source

Assurance of faith comes from looking to Jesus Christ rather than our own works.

Assurance of faith is fundamentally about the believer's focus. Just as we look to Jesus for our initial salvation, we are to continue looking to Him for assurance. The object of our faith, Jesus Christ, is the source of our confidence and peace. When doubts arise, believers should not seek assurance in their own actions or merits, as these can be unreliable. Instead, we are encouraged to behold the Lamb of God, trusting in His finished work. The full assurance of faith, as highlighted in Hebrews 10:22, demonstrates that God regards our faith as sufficient assurance of our salvation.
