How can we know God is the true God?

Answered in 1 source

God is revealed as the true God through creation and scripture, demonstrating His sovereignty and independence.

In Acts 17:23-24, Paul explains that the unknown God worshipped by the Athenians is declared to them as the one who created all things. This God is unique, not confined to temples or man-made images, proving His omnipresence and independence. Isaiah 66:1 highlights that heaven is His throne, signifying His authority over all creation. The true God requires no sacrifices from man, as He is self-sufficient and sovereign. Thus, the evidence of God as the true deity is found in His creation, His revealed word, and His authority over all that exists.
