How can we know if we are part of Christ's church?

Answered in 1 source

To be part of Christ's church, one must recognize their sinfulness, need for a Savior, and believe in Jesus as the Christ (1 Timothy 1:15).

Knowing whether one is part of Christ's church involves understanding one's identity as a sinner in need. According to 1 Timothy 1:15, Christ came to save sinners. This identification only makes sense when one acknowledges their total inability to save themselves and their reliance on Christ’s atoning work. Moreover, believing in Jesus as the Christ indicates acceptance of His roles as God’s prophet, priest, and king, affirming the personal faith required for salvation and inclusion within the body of believers, known as the church.
