How can we know the will of God?

Answered in 1 source

We can know the will of God through His revelations in the Bible.

The will of God is twofold: His will of command and His will of decree. The will of command consists of His instructions for living righteously as found in biblical commandments, such as those in Exodus 20. These commandments provide guidance on moral living and show what pleases God. However, it is critical to understand that God's will of decree encompasses everything that happens, as it is always executed according to His sovereign plan. Romans 9 and Ephesians 1 illustrate that God's will is supreme and encompasses all events, ensuring that nothing occurs outside of His divine decree. Recognizing these aspects of His will helps us navigate life with understanding and faith.
