How can we maintain peace in our hearts according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

We maintain peace in our hearts by focusing on Christ and trusting Him for our salvation and sanctification.

The Bible teaches that maintaining peace in our hearts is directly linked to our relationship with Christ. As the sermon elaborates, we must keep our eyes fixed on Him, for without Christ, peace cannot exist. Philippians 4:6 advises us to be anxious for nothing but to bring our requests before God with prayer and thanksgiving. This practice shifts our focus from our fears to God's promises, allowing His peace to reign in our hearts. Additionally, we are called to be moderate in our daily lives, avoiding extremes that can disrupt our peace (Philippians 4:5). Recognizing that God is satisfied with us in Christ enables us to rest in His acceptance and allows His peace to sustain us in all circumstances.
