How can we obtain love for God?

The ability to love God is initially hindered by our sinful nature, which breeds fear rather than love. However, according to 1 John 4:19, we love God because He first loved us. True love for God can only develop when we experience reconciliation through Christ's atoning work. When our sins are forgiven, and we are brought into a relationship of peace with our Creator, we then receive the spirit of adoption, empowering us to love God genuinely. This transformation is essential in the life of a believer as it marks the beginning of true heartfelt obedience.
