How can we pray for others effectively?

Answered in 2 sources

Praying for others effectively involves interceding for their spiritual needs, as exemplified by Paul's request for boldness in proclaiming the gospel.

In Ephesians 6:19, Paul requests prayers for utterance and boldness in preaching the gospel. This serves as a model for how we should pray for one another; we should focus on the spiritual needs of others, asking God to empower them in their faith and to grant them the courage to share the gospel truth clearly. Additionally, praying for wisdom, strength in trials, and encouragement in their walk with Christ allows us to support fellow believers in meaningful ways. Effective prayer recognizes the importance of God’s work in a person’s life and seeks to align our requests with His will.
