How can we provide a reason for our hope in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

We can provide a reason for our hope through a firm understanding of our faith built on Scripture.

As instructed in 1 Peter 3:15, every believer is called to be ready to give an answer for the hope within them. This readiness comes from a deep and informed understanding of God’s revelations through Scripture. Knowing the doctrines of grace, including God’s election and the work of Christ, allows a believer to articulate why they have assurance of salvation and hope for eternal life. It is not merely personal experience but is based on the strength of God’s promises, which encourages believers to share their faith with humility and clarity. Engaging with the truth of the Scriptures enables Christians to defend their beliefs and respond to inquiries with confidence.
