How can we reconcile being described as perfect yet still sinning?

Answered in 1 source

Our perfection in Christ does not negate our ongoing struggle with sin, which reflects the tension of our dual nature.

The reconciliation of being described as perfect yet continuing to sin lies in understanding the nature of our salvation. In Christ, we are viewed as perfect because His righteousness is imputed to us. However, our experience in this fallen body continually reveals our sinfulness. This tension is common in Christian experience, as detailed in Romans 7, where Paul articulates the struggle of the flesh against the spirit. Acknowledging this dual nature allows us to appreciate the grace of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
