How can we seek joy in our relationship with God?

Answered in 1 source

We seek joy in our relationship with God through prayer, repentance, and trust in His promises.

To seek joy in our relationship with God, we must actively pursue a deep and personal communion with Him through prayer and repentance. Psalm 51 serves as a model for this, as David earnestly desires restoration in his relationship with God, culminating in the request for joy (Psalm 51:12). By acknowledging our sins and pleading for God's mercy, we open the door for Him to instill joy in our hearts that transcends worldly happiness. Additionally, trusting in God’s promises and recognizing that our identity is rooted in Him allows us to experience profound joy that comes from within. This joy manifests itself in our lives as we live in obedience to His word and bear witness to His grace.
